But then, ...Agree with every point of yours Rachna. But then, if you think of, there is little you can do if people want to dig a hole and jump into it. Take the Dadri incident for example. It disturbed me deeply to see how everyone was easily swayed by the media. But then I thought that it's no use boiling our blood over people who refuse to be sensible.

This hypocrisy stems from ignorance and lack of common sense. And you know the saying about arguing with idiots, right ;)Vishal Katariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08171798388180255475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964215896987873803.post-19475537168046284192015-10-01T13:06:09.749+05:302015-10-01T13:06:09.749+05:30You know, Vishal, I actually read a few books abou...You know, Vishal, I actually read a few books about our history which was never taught in our schools. The flaws and follies of the Nehru-Gandhis, the botched up Pakistan-Kashmir issue, China relations, relations with the US etc. It was an eye-opener. Nehru did a few good things but he had many flaws. And because he had the support of the Mahatma he was hardly ever challenged. What I see happening now is a huge blitzkrieg by media that is mostly owned by the Congress to malign and misinform.

Facts are blatantly twisted and repeated falsification actually begins brainwashing people. Besides, we have people who will not give a person who is trying something different even a chance. A chance to fail and learn, a chance to make a difference. There is something wrong in us as Indians. At the drop of a hat, we are ready to ridicule and vilify our own country. Perhaps they are rooting for RaGa or behenji or Laloo or someone to be PM. Their hatred for Modi has blinded them completely and totally. Let's wait and see how this trend continues. Personally, I feel deep despair and a sense of anger and helplessness at what is transpiring even among people I thought were rational, right thinking and friends.

Sorry for the long rant.Rachnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02275266551382931603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964215896987873803.post-1763830321226653502015-10-01T09:44:12.762+05:302015-10-01T09:44:12.762+05:30You may be right Tomichan. There were various requests to people in higher positions to think in different ways... only stubbornness on the part of the leaders ensured that that never occurred. While they talked about the right ways to progress on things, they lacked the ability to act. That hypocrisy hurt us.

Thank you for dropping by...Vishal Katariahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08171798388180255475noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964215896987873803.post-69597077801158761612015-09-30T20:30:13.827+05:302015-09-30T20:30:13.827+05:30This is a highly blinkered view of history. We can understand it better with the knowledge required for such understanding. Or we can judge it from the present position which is what you are doing.
