I am writing to you from Pan Macmilla...Dear -----

I am writing to you from Pan Macmillan India, one of the largest English language trade publishers in India. We publish internationally popular authors like Jeffrey Archer, Wilbur Smith, Ken Follett, Robin Cook, David Baldacci, among others as well as publishing well-known Indian authors including Kunal Basu, Ramachandra Guha (India After Gandhi) Aravind Adiga (Between the Assassinations), Tarun Tejpal (The Alchemy of Desire) to name a few.

This mail is regarding one of our recent best-selling titles, The $100 Startup by internationally popular speaker Chris Guillebeau.

Chris Guillebeau is a writer, entrepreneur, world traveller and lifelong learner. Through his blog ‘The Art of Non-Conformity’ and through his book The $100 Startup, he shows people how to lead a life of adventure, meaning and purpose — and earn a good living.

Still in his early thirties, Chris is on the verge of completing a tour of every country on earth — he has only 6 left to go — and yet he’s never held a “real job” or earned a regular paycheck. Rather, he has a special genius for turning ideas into income, and he uses what he earns both to support his life of adventure and to give back.

Chris will be in India from 27 November to 6 December and will be holding interactive sessions at Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Gurgaon and Delhi. We would like to invite you to be a part of the talks with Chris. The talks are free but do require a registration which can be done here.

More information on Chris is available at www.chrisguillebeau.com and on www.100startup.com

I’d be happy to discuss the details of Chris’ tour with you further. I can be contacted at rachna.kalra@macmillian.co.in.

Best,

RachnaRachna Kalrahttp://www.macmillanindia.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964215896987873803.post-75418637983577039162012-11-17T16:37:37.984+05:302012-11-17T16:37:37.984+05:30Hmmmm.......... much of your tips come from experi...Hmmmm.......... much of your tips come from experience. I realize that I have changed in the way I react to criticsm - from defensive to cynical to actually understanding the viewpoint. Most of us HAVE to give our opinions on something or the other. :) Handling everything with a smile is not easy but I guess with practice it will go a long way in dealing with all of the stress.Jayashree Srivatsanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07187741357853447742noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8964215896987873803.post-13576817431752892862012-11-17T13:36:59.828+05:302012-11-17T13:36:59.828+05:30Purvesh, thanks... Also, if a person doesn't know you well he cannot criticize you. He can just either blame you or accuse you.

I am adopting these five points as the five mantras for taking on criticism and implementing it in real life. Cheers !! The best thing to do, as you pointed out, is to listen, smile and take it in your stride. If you think the criticism is genuine, try changing yourself, else let go and smile again :DBGThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14949058048585399102noreply@blogger.com
